Act from your wisdom, joy, and connection.
Not from your worries, or other people’s “shoulds”.

If you’re like a lot of people …

*You want to live thoughtfully, and on your terms, not according to the “shoulds” of the world that don’t line up with your values.

*You spend more time than you’d like weighing pros/cons of decisions or going down google rabbit holes. Sometimes you secretly you wish someone else would just tell you the answer.

* You’re feeling disconnection or “meh” about your job, even if it is meaningful in some ways. Maybe it even used to be your “dream job” and it is losing its luster.

* You want to take more of a break but when you look at the calendar, you get a sinking realization there’s no time to schedule in a real vacation.

* You’d tell a friend in your situation to knock it off with the self-doubt, imposter syndrome, self-sabotage, or lack of confidence, but overthinking still holds you back from things you know you’re capable of.

* You feel overwhelmed when you look at the news, your calendar, or your to-do list. Sometimes simple things seem stupidly hard.

You’d like to be more present, more grounded, more confident in your work and in your life so you can do more, more easily.

I help people who want support to do that, instead of going alone.

That thing you’ve been meaning to do?
Let’s do it, way more easily.

Change is more possible than you might expect…

Hi! I’m Lee.

  • I’m a dual-trained professional coach. Coaching with me is sort of like a personal trainer for your internal landscape. We work with neuroscience and ancient wisdom principles to train your thinking and attention. You’ll get to know your capabilities better, challenge yourself lovingly, and hone your focus so you can take action on what matters most with clarity and grace — even when it is hard.

  • Non-judgement is the name of the game. Some traditional “self-help” is “self-doubt” in disguise, and our current society is riddled with shame, blame, and '“you’re never enough”. We’ll seize your desire for growth, without using it to berate yourself.

  • I’m a doula at heart. After many years caring for new parents playing a “substitute village” role, I now support all kinds of people people while they birth projects and navigate life transitions.

  • I embrace big questions and paradoxes. I love a juicy contradiction and revel in the nuances of humans. If you think you’re too weird, inconsistent or complicated to do what you want, I’m not worried :)

  • Even with ^^, I’m a pretty practical person. We won’t be navel gazing, hemming and hawing, or philosophizing: We’re going to get some things done. The outcome of coaching is taking action and moving forward on what you want. When we remove the internal obstacles, change can happen far more easily.

  • I often come across as extremely earnest in writing. I am. I am also really playful, goofy, and irreverent at times.

Develop a deeper practice of self-partnership.

Learn to think and act in the ways you want to, so you can:

  • Pursue a career that feeds you and contributes to others (self-employed, freelance or salaried).

  • Be a better manager of your time, and feel less frazzled.

  • Learn to relate to money with more confidence and clarity.

  • Be a well-spoken leader.

  • Build the family, friend or community culture you want to live in.

  • Take care of your mental and physical health on your terms.

  • Show up at work fully, and show up with your family fully too…. without burning out.

  • Plan in meaningful rest, creativity, and fun.

  • Contribute your gifts sustainably over many years.

I work with people who:

  • Really, REALLY want to do the thing, but are stuck, dragging their feet, maybe starting to give up hope.

  • Or, are like “I know I want things to be different, but I don’t quite know how yet…” and are spinning their wheels.

  • Want practical tools for overcoming procrastination and managing anxiety in unpredictable situations.

  • Want more supportive habits, but hate rigid rules and have a healthy suspicion of “shoulds”.

  • Know, intellectually, that “societal programming” or their “inner critic” is getting in the way of showing up the way they want…. but don’t know how to shed old habits on their own.

  • Value support, even if asking for help is uncomfortable.

  • I especially resonate with helpers, creatives, queers, healers, self-employed people, new parents, and anyone who has been told they’re a bit idealistic.

What do we actually do?

  1. Set a vision: When you believe you can change, the next step is to set sights on what you want to change. What possibilities would open up to you, if you knew that changing your inner landscape and actions were more possible than you’ve experienced ever before?

  2. Regulate your nervous system: I’ll teach you a modern tool-set of both scientifically backed and imaginative tools for stress management and re-grounding. These simple tools help people withstand and reset from surprises, uncertainty, and challenges. I have an anxiety-prone brain, and these practices were a game changer for me, and consistently help my clients look at problems with more creativity and openness.

  3. Notice (and challenge) stressed thinking: Learn to notice when you’re acting from worry instead of wisdom, so you do it less. Sometimes, you need to respect and pay attention to fear because it tells you you’re acting against your integrity. And sometimes fear comes from bullsh*t societal programming you’re trying shed, and you want to do something bold even when you’re scared as heck. We will sort out the differences.

  4. Connect with your inner wisdom: Learn to notice what it feels like when you’re acting from the best in yourself, so you can do it more often. Develop mental pathways for getting into flow, and access your best thinking way faster. Name your desires, visions, and values and act on them with more confidence. If you ever wonder “who am I really?” - this is for you.

  5. Practice RAPID mental change tools: Change your mind and your habits more gracefully by knowing how brain change works. Learn skills to literally rewire some neurons up there, and grow in skills with more ease. Learn new things with some more spirit of play and curiosity, even when it is an important topic. You don’t always need years of therapy to change a habit - I can show you how.

  6. Partner with others: Empower the people around you, set clearer expectations, be a more grounded and present support person, and tell the truth more easily. This is the foundation of true leadership, as well as effective care taking and parenting.

  7. Take authentic action: The purpose of a deeper understanding of yourself is to act so you can help yourself and others thrive. You will take small and large steps and do the things you thought you’d never be able to… and extremely importantly celebrate your achievements! 🎉🎉🎉

VERY IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER (PLEASE READ): I cannot turn you into a perfectly balanced goal crushing superhuman robot. I AM SORRY. However, these principles are powerful, ever unfolding layers of self-trust and self-knowledge that will show you why you are far more interesting, capable and resilient than you knew.

FAQ “IS THIS THERAPY?” : Coaching and therapy have some overlap in that they both focus on shifting perspectives and changing thinking patterns. However, I am not a therapist. I do no diagnosis or treatment of conditions (and will refer when appropriate). My primary goal is helping you move toward your dreams rather than healing past hurts — Sometimes moving forward on goals and developing deeper self-trust can be deeply healing and occasionally past things come up, but our focus is on present and future goals. If you’ve been seeing a therapist and you want to take more forward action, I might be a fit. I work with many people who see both me and a therapist for different topics. I also work with people who have never done coaching or therapy.

Why ???

  • Career discernment doesn’t come from the sorting hat.

How to navigate conflict with your supervisor is not something your peers can give you all the answers for.

Whether or not you should have kids shouldn’t come from your parent’s wishes for you.

No one knew “the rules” for the pandemic era. We all had to make our own.

Having a sense of your own decision making process and how to tap into your best wisdom will support you to navigate big delimmas with more confidence.

  • These practices can help you with things like:

    • Knowing what to say when a client complains

    • Creating and keeping a routine you enjoy, even if you’ve failed at it before.

    • Giving feedback to a co-worker confidently.

    • Keeping your cool when you forget an important document at home.

    • Taking off work early on Friday, to leave on a long weekend of rest.

    • Saying “no” to gigs and jobs you don’t want with clarity.

    • Adjusting your fees and stating them to a client without hesitation.

    • Showing up in social media marketing with confidence.

  • In a society that claims that people “just need to be more disciplined”, I teach that new habits have little to do with shame or force, and more with creativity.

When you know the basic dance-steps for how to change your habits, making a new routine becomes a fun puzzle.

I’ve supported people to design habits like:

-Taking a daily walk after signing off work at 5pm

    -Sending networking emails with confidence

-Turn down a 2nd bowl of ice cream when you know it will give you a stomach ache

-Writing daily morning pages after getting out of bed at 7am

  • Acting with integrity is only possible when you know yourself. The world needs more people who can act from their best, most creative, self:

ESPECIALLY, in the complex era we live in when so many of us are challenging the status quo and need to imagine and create possibilities that we’ve never seen.

ESPECIALLY, because many of us are working to undo internalized systemic biases, like sexism, racism, homophobia, and more.

ESPECIALLY, when fundamental skills of self-knowledge aren’t taught in school, because they aren’t valued and make you a bit of a revolutionary.

ESPECIALLY, because being an adult in western culture is particularly disconnecting, isolating, and exhausting and these tools can help you thrive instead of merely survive.

  • When working together for 6 months, together we’ll find the ONE JUICY MENTAL SKILL you need to learn in order to live a radically more enjoyable and powerful life.

If I 100% thought one of these statements were true, what would be possible for me?

*I radically ask for and accept support from others.

*I say no to things I don’t want to do, without guilt.

*I stay committed to my goal regardless of the circumstances.

*I bring happiness and fulfillment to my work instead of expecting my work to bring it to me.

*I embrace not being everyone’s cup of tea.

*I enjoy getting better at my craft.

*I speak from my wisdom as a leader.

    *I revel in resting.

  • I frequently work with people who are frustrated, feeling stuck, burnt out, tired, or bravely reconsidering a new path after something that feels like a failure. If what you’ve been doing isn’t working, it is time for some change.

This is how we’ll do it.

Consistently take action on what is most important for 3+ months, and learn tools for a lifetime:

  • Three 50-minute zoom sessions per month.

    • You bring a question, decision, or challenge point. We’ll unpack it together, help you gain clarity on what is important to you, and you’ll leave with clear next steps.

    • During sessions, we’ll practice practical and playful tools for increasing focus, fostering creativity, showing up in the world authentically, and acting on your values even when it freaks your brain out a bit. These are tools that will benefit you for years to come.

    • Three meetings a month gives us momentum for you to learn tools which you can apply in daily life, while allowing time off for vacations and rest periods. Established clients can stay at 3 sessions, or drop to 2 sessions/mo.

  • Between session support for troubleshooting and celebration.

    • Email Lee M-F for clarity on an emerging issue, setting a next step or celebrating a job well done.
